Mr. Johal is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience in building and managing technology-based ventures with high-performance teams across multiple industries and geographies.
Mr. Johal grew up in an agricultural family in Punjab, India. He earned a BS and MS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT (Cambridge, MA). After MIT, and for the next 25 years, Mr. Johal has led technology-focused ventures and companies using data for decision-support systems, at both private- and publicly-traded companies, across multiple industries in the US and around the world.
Over the most recent decade, Mr. Johal has founded and led innovation-driven ventures in the agriculture-centric ecosystems. His most recent venture, Agralogics provides field bespoke data services for water, nutrient and harvest decision-making. – across a million acres of farmland spread over 3 continents, including 14 states.
Mr. Johal lives in the San Francisco bay area with his wife and two sons and enjoys bicycling, wine-tasting and music.
