From cloud deployment to application development or modernization and security operations, open source plays a critical role. It is a model that permeates the organization, delivers business growth, facilitates innovation, attracts and retains talent, and allows organizations to respond to their technical, organizational, business, and industry challenges scale into new markets, products, and services. Yet, many organizations do not have anyone influencing strategy development and the benefits brought by open source. The lack of executive representation results in open source not being perceived as worthy at the C-level, leading to failure in understanding the value of engaging in open source activities
