The Linux Foundation CHAOSS Project launched in 2017 as a central place in the open source ecosystem for discussing and establishing standard metrics for understanding project health. This panel of CHAOSS members will discuss the current state of metrics within open source communities: What is project health? What metrics do we have for understanding project health? What metrics should you focus on? Why is it important to think about how metrics support your open source strategies? How do we get these metrics? What ethical concerns do metrics introduce? What are the limitations of the metrics we have today? What is the future work of metrics?
